Edinson Cavani, a Uruguayan and Manchester United player, took part in a group training for his country before facing Venezuela, in the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, to be held next Tuesday.
According to the official website of the Uruguayan Football Association, Edinson Cavani attended the training of his country's national team, in preparation for the Copa America competition, which will start in Brazil on June 13.
The official website confirmed that Cavani will continue to miss the Uruguay national team matches against his Venezuelan counterpart; Due to the suspension for the second match in a row, the player is scheduled to start his participation with the team in the Copa America, which will be held next month.
The training began with training on the industrial court before completing it on the open courts.
Uruguay fell to a goalless draw against its guest Paraguay, in the match that brought the two teams together, on Thursday evening, at the “Centenario” stadium, in the seventh round of the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Paraguay and Uruguay raised their score to the seventh point, to occupy the fourth and fifth places, respectively, with a difference in goals in the qualifying table.
Uruguay lost its last match in the qualifiers against its Brazilian counterpart, in the fourth round, after postponing the fifth and sixth rounds.
