Al-Jarandi explained that despite the challenges it faces in all its dimensions and the accuracy of the current stage nationally, regionally and internationally, it has not closed its borders and has never hesitated in coordination with agencies working in the field of humanitarian relief, including the High Commissioner for Refugees, to find appropriate solutions that guarantee the dignity of the asylum seeker and reduce his suffering. .


He added, "We do not deal with the phenomena of migration and asylum from a purely security standpoint, but rather according to an approach in which the human dimension is of paramount importance," calling in this context for concerted international efforts to develop a comprehensive approach to eliminate these phenomena, or at least contain their repercussions from By addressing its deep causes and causes, including defusing crises and wars, and developing proactive contingency plans to receive migrants and refugees.


The Minister of Foreign Affairs considered it important to support the efforts of countries of origin and countries hosting refugees, especially countries facing challenges and going through transitional stages such as Tunisia, by establishing effective partnerships on the basis of a comprehensive approach in which the human dimension is linked to development.


He called on all partners from countries and organizations to redouble efforts and enhance cooperation and equal solidarity in order to ensure equality among peoples and implement their economic and social rights, including the right to development by adopting international policies based on solidarity in order to reduce the phenomenon of asylum and contribute to achieving the 2030 development agenda, foremost of which is the lack of Leaving no one on the sidelines or behind the scenes.
