Palestine calls for an urgent meeting of the Arab League to discuss the Israeli attacks in Jerusalem


Palestine's ambassador to Cairo, its permanent representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Diab Al-Louh, said that based on the directives of President Mahmoud Abbas, a request for an urgent meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States was submitted on Saturday at the level of permanent delegates in an extraordinary session, to discuss confronting the crimes and attacks of the occupation The Israeli in occupied Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine.


Ambassador Al-Louh added to "Wafa" that the urgent meeting will discuss the Israeli attacks on worshipers in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the blessed month of Ramadan, in addition to plans to seize the homes of Jerusalemites, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in an attempt to empty the holy city of its residents and displace its people. And changing the existing legal and historical situation.


He said: The meeting must produce decisions and practical measures that rise to the level of this unprecedented catastrophic event, in order to deliver a unified Arab message from the League of Arab States affirming the need to provide the necessary international protection for the Palestinian people against such systematic practices, continuous violations and dangerous escalatory steps.


He stressed that the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque requires swift action to take measures to prevent the continuation of these violations, restrain settler gangs and stop their criminal practices against the Palestinian people.
