Today, Wednesday, 9-6-2021, vegetable prices witnessed stability in the prices of all varieties in the transit wholesale market, as confirmed by the Vegetables and Fruits Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
Hatem Al-Naguib, Vice President of the Vegetables and Fruits Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that the prices of all types of vegetables are witnessing stability with a slight decrease in the prices of a number of varieties due to the increase in supply despite the beginning of the season.
Al-Najeeb added in exclusive statements to “The Seventh Day” that the prices of zucchini 1.5-5 pounds per kilo, okra 9-13 pounds per kilo, potatoes between 1.5-3.5 pounds per kilo, taro 3-6 pounds per kilo, molokhia prices between 2-4 pounds per kilo, the price of carrots. Between 1.5-3 pounds per kilo.
Al-Najeeb indicated that tomatoes witnessed a slight decrease, as the price of a kilo ranged between 1.5-3 pounds, compared to 1.5-3.25 pounds per kilo, and onions prices between 1.5-3.5 pounds per kilo, and eggplant prices recorded 1.5-3 pounds per kilo, colored peppers between 10-20 pounds per kilo, and green peppers between 3 - 5 pounds per kilo, and green peppers between 2.5 - 4.5 pounds per kilo.
Al-Najeeb explained that the prices of beans ranged between 3-7 pounds per kilo, the prices of municipal cucumbers ranged between 1.5-3.5 pounds per kilo, and green cucumbers ranged between 2-4 pounds per kilo, garlic prices recorded 9-15 pounds per kilo, potatoes between 1.5-2 pounds.
