Jordanian Cabinet: We will not allow any gatherings, and we will deal with the utmost firmness


Today, Sunday, the Jordanian Cabinet said that the Ministry of Interior will not allow any gatherings or events at all, and will deal with the utmost determination to prevent "dangerous incitement activities."


The Jordanian Cabinet stated in a statement published by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that “what we witnessed last night of attempts to mobilize and the accompanying attacks on some salaries of the public security apparatus, and the inflammatory speech and behavior that permeated these illegal gatherings constitute full-fledged legal violations that affect the heart of the people.” The constants of our country, its constitutional foundations, and our inherited literature since the establishment of the state.

He added, "The Ministry of Interior will never allow the establishment of any gatherings, events, poetry house or other platforms, and will deal with the utmost firmness to enforce the law and prevent these dangerous incitement activities and the words and behaviors that permeate them that violate the law and the constitution and tamper with the security of society."


The Jordanian Cabinet appealed to citizens "to distance themselves from any participation in such inciting gatherings that violate the law."


On Saturday, a spokesman for the Public Security Directorate in Jordan reported that 4 security men were injured after a security force dealt with what he described as riots, burning vehicles and shooting in the air in the Naour area.


The Jordanian Ministry of Interior also said in a statement that "armed attacks" targeted public security forces in the Malha area, near the Queen Alia International Airport road.
