Carteron rejects a proposal to include Awad in the match lists and clings to two guards

French Patrice Carteron, technical director of Zamalek's first football team, rejects the proposal of a member of his auxiliary apparatus to include Mohamed Awad, goalkeeper of the third team, in the match lists, despite his lack of participation or reliance on him.

Carteron insisted that there are only two goalkeepers on the list of each match, so that there will be a main goalkeeper and a substitute, as for the presence of a third goalkeeper, he sees the technical director as a matter of no use.

A member of the auxiliary apparatus suggested to Carteron the possibility of including Mohamed Awad in the match lists, as a kind of satisfaction to the goalkeeper who has not participated for a long time, and the team relies on the duo Muhammad Abu Jabal and Mahmoud Abdel Rahim Jensh only, but the technical director rejected the proposal.

Awad asked the Zamalek club management to allow him to leave at the end of the season, in light of his marginalization and not being dependent on him or giving him the opportunity to participate, as happened with Abu Jabal and Gensh.

Patrice Carteron welcomed Mohamed Awad’s request to leave in the next summer Mercato, and Zamalek officials decided to grant Carteron the freedom to determine Awad’s fate, whether by agreeing to his departure or refusing to accept him. The French coach initially welcomed the goalkeeper's departure, especially as there is a difficulty in involving the three guards in matches. The coach prefers the departure of one of them and Awad’s request. Indeed, the failure to continue to end the crisis of the late goalkeeper at the end of the season.
