The Turkish Ministry of Health data showed that the number of daily infections with the Coronavirus in the country rose to its highest level in two months, near 14,000 cases, today, Tuesday, a week after announcing the easing of restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
The number of new cases reached 13,755 today, the highest number since the sixth of January, which raises the total number of injuries to two million and 807,387.
Today's data also showed that 65 deaths were recorded from Covid-19 infection in the past twenty-four hours, which brings the total deaths to 29,160.
On Monday last week, Erdogan announced the partial opening of cafes, restaurants and schools, as well as easing general isolation on weekends as part of measures aimed at gradually returning life to normalcy.
Turkey, with a population of 83 million, gave 10.28 million doses of the Corona vaccine, which was developed by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech, in a campaign that began in mid-January, and more than 7.7 million received a first dose and about 2.6 million received a second dose of the vaccine.
