Today, Wednesday, the Italian authorities announced a decrease in the number of irregular migrants who were returned to their homeland last year, due to the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).
The Italian Aki News Agency stated that, in the wake of the spread of the Corona virus, which led to the closure of the Italian borders for a period of six months, Rome was able to return 3,585 irregular migrants to their countries last year, compared to 7,054 it returned in 2019.
