Head of Customs Authority: 4 benefits of the pre-shipment registration system, the most prominent of which is reducing the price of goods

Kamal Najm, Head of the Customs Authority, said that the benefits of working with the system of pre-registration of imported shipments "aci", which is the pre-shipment system in force in most countries of the world, are:

 

1 - Reduces release time.

 

2- Egypt's position improves in qualifying the international bank.

 

3 - The cost of the commodity decreases in the local market.

 

4 - It is forbidden to import goods that are not permitted into Egypt and that are standing in the ports and neglected, and the costs of their disposal, disposal and consuming a lot of time are set for them.

 

Najm added that the policy of the Customs Authority is to facilitate the commercial community and listen to its views, explaining that the pre-registration system for imported shipments "aci" is a system for pre-shipments and most countries of the world take it, and it helps in facilitating procedures and facilitates the time of customs release, and the shorter the time of release will reduce the cost Commodities in the Egyptian market.

 

Negm added during the symposium of the Export Council for Food Industries with the Customs Authority via video conference, that this system is for every company that imports, it must enter the system and fill out the form and confirm that it is the importer and put its name, and it must be registered on the customs authority data in the sense that it is allowed to import. The exporter from the other country is allowed to export to Egypt, that is, to be from the countries permitted to export, and a ban will not be issued for him by the Ministry of Trade, any decision to stop during the previous period, and for the commodity to be allowed to import from Egypt, and here the shipping time will not exceed 48 hours only.

 

The head of the Customs Authority added that the shipment data is registered with the authority before shipment and we do risk management work on it, notify the bank and regulatory authorities such as food safety and the Export and Import Control Authority, and inform them of the shipment and its most important specifications so that we ensure the arrival of the commodity and the existence of our procedures on it, and the release is done quickly and easily.
