Today, Friday, an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit Kalar district in Sulaymaniyah province, Iraq.
The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring in Iraq - in a statement reported by "Alsumaria News" - stated that a magnitude 5 earthquake was followed by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred near Kalar district in Sulaymaniyah Governorate at dawn today, calling on citizens to take caution due to the continuing seismic activity.
